Police have named a 69-year-old accused of stabbing a film director to death in Camden. Emergency services rushed to the home of Jennifer Abbott, 70, at 6pm on June 13 after reportedly being found unresponsive by her neighbour.

Police launched a murder investigation shortly afterwards, as investigators fear she may have been killed for her diamond encrusted Rolex. Nancy Pexton, 69, of Gloucester Place, Westminster, was charged with her murder this morning (Friday, June 20).

Scotland Yard confirmed she is due to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court today. Jennifer’s LinkedIn profile states she was the chief executive of Atlantis Rising Productions, and had also worked as an actress.

She has been described as a ‘lovely, vivacious’ woman by a neighbour. They said: “She was very exuberant, very vivacious. She was a doctor, but she was also an actor and director in America.

“She’d directed a movie and I looked at it on YouTube and saw her interviewed in Los Angeles. She was a character. She was lovely.”
