Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have become estranged from the Prince and Princess of Wales, but that could all change after Kate Middleton was diagnosed with cancer

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle look like they could be ready to end their Royal Family feud as they released a heartfelt statement after the Princess of Wales was diagnosed with cancer.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex sent a message to Princess Kate, saying: “We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.” It came after Kate released a statement via video on Friday night to share an update on her health and her cancer diagnosis with fans.

PR expert Ryan McCormick said that while Harry and Meghan’s message was brief, it seems to show a “positive” sign for their relationship with the royals. He told The Mirror: “The speed for which it came out is positive.

“The gravity of this situation may be so large that it could melt away long-held grievances. Yes, Meghan and Harry have their faults but, family is family. Their feud could very well end immediately.”

Ryan also suggested the Sussexes managed to hit back at some of the cruel speculation surrounding Kate’s health. He said: “I think the last part of the Duke & Duchess’ statement was intended to rebuke those spreading false stories and rumours about Kate.

“It was also a respectful pea to give the family the space they need.” He said while their statement was short, there was likely a reason for it, telling us: “Meghan and Harry’s statement was very brief. I thought it could have been more personal and loving but, they may have been advised to keep it short.”

Ryan also said William will likely be reciprocal of a reunion with Harry and Meghan. He told us: “This devastating news will likely jolt William into reassessing what he truly values most in life.

“As cancer grips both his father and wife, The Prince of Wales may hastily reconcile with Harry. Yes they have had their differences but, they probably need each other now more than ever.”

He then suggested the two brothers might unite to help others affected by cancer. Ryan said: “I think in the coming days and months, William will become an advocate for cancer victims. I wouldn’t be surprised if Harry joins him. This unification would raise public spirits as hopes and prayers shower upon Kate for her recovery.”
