Prince Harry chuckles as he is asked if he’s ‘happy to be home’
Prince Harry was “darkly tickled” by a question he was asked while in London, for which he gave a telling response amid the ongoing feud within the Royal Family.
The Duke of Sussex touched down in the United Kingdom on Tuesday ahead of the Invictus Games event at St Paul’s Cathedral that he is due to attend this evening. And on Wednesday morning, just hours before he is due to appear at the 10th anniversary service of thanksgiving at St Paul’s, Harry was seen departing an event when he was posed a question as he walked towards a black Range Rover car.
While walking towards the car, Prince Harry waved and said “hello” to onlookers when he was innocently asked if he was “happy to be home”, to which he simply chuckled and dodged the question by saying: “Nice to see you.”

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror about Harry’s recent appearance, and after analysing the video of Harry dodging the question, body language Judi James has weighed in with her thoughts. “Despite his complicated history with the press, Harry walks past them here in what can only be described as high spirits, greeting them with the kind of smile that suggests he’s greeting fans or old friends,” she began.
Judi continued: “His walk makes him look breezy and upbeat with an open-palm wave and the high tone of his voice as he says ‘hello’ suggests he might even have missed some of the faces.
“But when he is asked ‘are you happy to be home?’ the smile remains in place but the response he performs would be described as a wry, cynical chuckle, suggesting he is darkly tickled to think anyone would ask him that question under the circumstances.”
This comes after a spokesperson for the Duke revealed that Harry and his father, King Charles III, would not be meeting this week after speculation. The spokesperson said: “It, unfortunately, will not be possible due to His Majesty’s full programme. The Duke of course is understanding of his father’s diary of commitments and various other priorities and hopes to see him soon.”
