Prince Louis is a firm favourite of royal fans, who is well known for displaying his big personality at royal events, and eagle-eyed fans have spotted a striking similarity to his father Prince William around the same age
It seems that Prince Louis is a chip off the old block.
The youngest of the three Wales children is a firm favourite amongst royal fans for his cheeky antics and big personality that he is never afraid to display when he makes an appearance at official royal events.
A new photo of Louis, who has just turned six years old, was posted by Prince William and Princess Kate on their social media channels to mark his birthday, and in the image he lies on the grass, beaming a gap-toothed smile at the camera.
Whilst Louis hasn’t been in the public eye for a few months, the Prince and Princess of Wales have made somewhat of a tradition of posting family snaps on big occasions like their children’s birthdays. This year was no exception despite the fact that Kate is currently undergoing a course of chemotherapy and is away from royal duties for the time being.
While for now, the public likely won’t see much of the children or Kate, eagle-eyed royal fans have been quick to spot striking similarities between young Prince Louis and his father Prince William when he was around the same age.
Whilst these days Prince William is the picture of composure when he makes public appearances, as a little boy he was prone to get excited by his surroundings, just like Prince Louis. Both of them have been seen getting seriously into flypasts at Trooping the Colour – the monarch’s official birthday – pointing, waving, and pulling faces all par for the course for the father and son.
Growing up in the Royal Family certainly is an upbringing like no other, with few young children having to learn how to wave to the camera and public quite so early. Louis clearly inherited his no fuss approach to the royal wave from his father, who had that particular skill locked in from a very young age.
Both a young Prince William and Prince Louis have shown they weren’t afraid to reach out for some much-needed affection from their mothers when public appearances get a bit much.
However unusual it is to grow up in such a bright spotlight, William loved to have a bit of fun when he joined his parents for their engagements, as does young Prince Louis. With both pictured over the years happily getting stuck in and playing around as they accompany their parents on royal duties, the similarities between the two couldn’t be more clear.
