How to clean your home like a pro
Clean from high to low
The first tip, which is loved by professionals, is always clean from high to low. This works for any room and any situation – the higher up you start, the more debris will fall to the ground, which you can then wipe, mop or vacuum up with ease.
This will also help to save you time, as you won’t have to go over any jobs twice.
Master the bathroom
The second tip involves everyone’s least favourite room to clean – the bathroom. The cleaner explained that once you’ve finished scrubbing the toilet, always hang the brush between the seat and the lid, allowing it to drip-dry over the water and minimise any mould.
Also in the loo, if you’re after a streak-free shine on your shower glass, you should actually give the glass cleaner a miss. There’s another combination that reportedly works even better – washing up liquid and rinse aid, which can be used to scrub glass and make it look brand new again.
And you should always do this on both sides of the glass and not just one, for the best results.
Avoid mopping mistake
Lastly, if you’ve got wooden floors at home, you’ll know that keeping them clean can be a nightmare. But according to the pro, you should never use boiling water when mopping, and instead opt for warm water from the tap.
This is because boiling water can create steam which damages wooden surfaces and even increases the risk of mould, which nobody wants to deal with.
