The former Duchess has been stripped of her title and booted from the Royal Lodge, but one royal expert believes she is planning to rebrand and revive her image after being connected to Jeffrey Epstein

After Sarah Ferguson’s public reputation was shattered following her alleged friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the former Duchess is now planning to revive her image with an unusual new role.

Fergie faced the biggest scandal of her life this year, when an email she sent to billionaire paedophile Epstein in 2011 was uncovered, in which she called him a “steadfast and supreme friend”, despite denouncing him in the media.

As a result of the connection to Epstein, Fergie was stripped of her Duchess of York title and booted from the Royal Lodge which she shared with her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

The former Duchess was also dumped from her role as patron for several different charities in the wake of the controversy. Rumours have emerged that Fergie is now planning to relocate to Portugal, where her daughter Princess Eugenie lives part time.

Fergie has been in exile since the scandal broke, and while she has been no stranger to controversy over the years, many have wondered if and how Sarah will return to public life after such damning allegations.

One royal expert has revealed Fergie’s potential plans to return to public life, as he claims Sarah will rebrand as a “global empowerment leader”.

Christopher Wilson told the Daily Mail: “Despite the ominous ‘E’ word, Sarah seems certain all is not lost; public favour, she feels, can be hers once again with her planned rebrand as a ‘global empowerment leader’.”

“She’ll relocate to Portugal, write books on ‘confidence and resilience’, embark on lecture tours, and speak at women’s leadership and wellness events – but what credentials could earn her this new title?”

With Sarah planning to move to Portugal, where Eugenie and her husband snapped up an oceanfront £3.6million mansion in Melides back in May 2022, royal expert Jennie Bond believes the potential distance speaks volumes to Fergie’s relationship with her ex-husband Andrew.

She told the Mirror: “I am surprised that it seems Sarah and Andrew are now going their separate ways. I thought they were joined at the hip, even though no longer in a romantic relationship.

“Sarah has always been so fiercely loyal to Andrew, defending him even in the face of the most sordid allegations. Perhaps she no longer believes him, or perhaps Andrew now wants to be on his own.”

“A move to Portugal was something I always thought could be on the cards,” Jennie added. “It seems so logical. A beautiful place, a loving daughter and space to call her own. Jack and Eugenie only live there part-time, so it could work out very well.”
