Royal commentators have been speculating over what could happen if Sarah Ferguson chooses to engage in an interview following Andrew’s descent from frontline royal duties

A journalist has suggested that if Sarah Ferguson does sit down for a tell all interview that she won’t talk about certain royals, but that she might talk about others.

The journalist, Samara Gill, suggested that the idea of the former Duchess of York sitting down for an interview may strike fear into the heart of the Royal Family over what she might say and about whom.

Sarah has stepped away from the public eye following the stripping of titles from her husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor following the deepening of the scandal over his connections to the dead convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Whilst Andrew denies the allegations, he has lost his prince title and is moving out of Royal Lodge to the Sandringham estate. As a result, Sarah is free to engage in an interview if she so chooses.

On the potential for an interview in question, Samara said on The Sun’s royal podcast.: “I think it’s not right that she is going to speak out, but I think she will. Should she? I mean she needs the money, she needs the cash, it’s as simple as that.

“This is the scenario that I worried about the most for the Royal Family because both her and Andrew have absolutely nothing to lose at this point.

“Who knows whose dirty laundry they will then air out? I don’t know think it’ll be their own but think that because of the big amounts of money, you know I mean six figure sums that are being thrown around for this interview, who knows who she’ll talk about?

“Because she probably won’t brief about Andrew, she probably won’t even really talk about herself unless it’s about her struggle, she might talk about other Royal Family members and throw them under the bus and that’s what I’m worried about.”

Meanwhile, other royal experts have commented on what Sarah’s state of mind could be at this point in time.

Speaking on Fox News, royal expert Hilary Fordwich suggested that she might be willing to forge her own path away from Andrew.

They claimed: “Sarah has made it well-known among her staff and others that she no longer believes in Andrew and is prepared to go her own way after years of loyalty and public defence.”

Broadcaster Helena Chard added that she thought that Sarah could be worried about the impact of the scandals on Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice.

She explained: “Her nerves are frayed. She is shaken to the core by the loss of her royal safety net. She fears further humiliation and worries that the serious allegations will affect her girls’ standing.”
