Sarah Ferguson, formerly known as Sarah, the Duchess of York, is reportedly looking ahead to an unexpected Plan B, as she forms a new identity away from the Royal Family, inw hat one critics has deemed, ‘a laugh till you cry moment’

Ex-Duchess Sarah Ferguson appears to be putting up a fight amid her fall from grace, with sources revealing her defiant Plan B.

As the former wife of disgraced Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, formerly Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, Fergie, is looking ahead to a very different life from the one she’s known since marrying into the Royal Family back in 1986.

Over the years, Sarah, 66, has weathered many mortifying moments, including being photographed having her toes sucked by a Texan billionaire. But such pitfalls pale in comparison to the shame she and Andrew have experienced in recent months.

Booted out of Royal Lodge, dropped by her charities, and axed by Loose Women, Sarah must now set about forging her own life and home outside of The Firm. And her alleged eye-popping plans for the future have left commentators aghast.

The Sun reports that, with the encouragement of daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, Sarah, 66, is allegedly planning a rebrand, working with a pricey “brand rescue team” to reinvent herself as a leader in the “female positivity world”.

A source revealed: “Sarah has always been a grafter and a hard worker and always finds ways of making money and getting out of a hole. She has expensive tastes and massive outgoings, but always found a way to make ends meet. Calls from brands may go unanswered right now, but she is still Sarah Ferguson and still a big name.”

According to the publication, Sarah now has her eye on “a number of branding and commercial opportunities” as ‘a mother and philanthropist’”. However, although it would appear that Sarah remains positive about her uncertain future, critics have remained incredulous of her apparent plans for a revamp, to say the least.

In a piece penned for the Mail Online, columnist Amanda Platell said: “It seems Sarah has told her advisers that she wants to become ‘a leader of the female positivity world’.

“That space is currently occupied by the likes of Malala Yousafzai and the former First Lady Michelle Obama, not to mention hundreds of other distinguished women who have fought tirelessly for decades for the rights of women and girls and to protect them from abuse by men.

“It really is a laugh till you cry moment. It makes Fergie’s apparent absence of remorse for her actions all the more astonishing. She’s shown not a shred of self-awareness or given any inkling she understands how much she is loathed.”

Sarah was recently dropped by various charities over a 2011 email, sent to Epstein after he was found guilty of procuring a child for prostitution in 2008. In this exchange, Sarah referred to Epstein as her “supreme friend” and seemed to apologise over criticisms she’d made about him publicly. Sarah’s team insisted the email was sent through fear for her safety – and that of her family.
