Sitting outside on a dark brown park bench, the princess spoke of “an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family”, but reassured others with cancer to “not lose faith or hope” because they “are not alone”. In the video, which was recorded in Windsor on Wednesday, the senior royal confirmed that she is in the “early stages of that treatment” for preventive chemotherapy.

It is currently unknown which type of cancer Kate has been diagnosed with, but she stressed that she is “well and getting stronger every day”, adding that she is “going to be ok”. The princess also praised her husband Prince William for his love and support, saying: “Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance too.
