MyLondon have images from the scene of a hit and run incident in Shadwell where a cyclist sadly died.
The cyclist was hit by a car on the junction of Cable Street and Cannon Street Road in Shadwell. Police and Ambulance crews – including the air ambulance – were called to the scene at 12.33am on July 6 to the incident. They tried to save the man but sadly he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The car which hit the cyclist did not stop, but two women were later arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision. Both remain in custody at the time of writing.

In the pictures, you can see a police cordon still in place today with an officer on the scene still. A bike is propped up next to a railing which appears to be heavily damaged.
