Marks and Spencer shoppers have been left baffled after noticing a ‘game-changing’ new festive drink on the shelves, with many are desperate to get their hands on a bottle
Shoppers have been left gobsmacked after noticing a new festive drinks inside their local Marks & Spencer stores, with some calling it a ‘game changer’.
While Christmas is still two months away, many will have noticed that most stores and supermarkets will have begun selling everything you might need for your festive celebrations. From chocolates to drinks, and a Christmas dinner, many will argue that food is just as important, if not more important, than presents. And the best thing is that you don’t have to limit the Christmas food for just one day, as you can enjoy it for months before December 25, if that’s what you want.
While a lot of coffee shops and cafes will release their festive menus with Christmas-inspired drinks, it can be difficult to think of easy festive drinks to recreate at home.
However, mulled wine is a go-to for many, as it’s easy to reheat at home while also being just as good when enjoyed at a Christmas markets.
While doing a recent food shop in M&S, one shopper named Kirsty Barrett was left amazed after noticing a unique new mulled wine on the shelf. And she quickly took to Instagram to show it off.
“I fear Marks and Spencer’s have outdone,” Kirsty wrote on the video, as she was seen picking up a bottle from the wine aisle in the M&S food hall.
The label read that it was a rosé mulled wine, with notes of orange, vanilla, and mulled spice flavours, and appeared to be a pale rosé colour inside a clear wine bottle.
According to the label on the shelf, one bottle of the mulled rosé cost £6, but this can differ between stores.
“Christmas for the rosé lovers,” Kirsty added in the caption of her video.
And she wasn’t the only one who found the new mulled wine appealing, as several others soon took to the comments section to share their amazement.
“Oh good lord!! This is a game changer,” one person wrote, while a second user said: “I need this. Like. Right now.”
A third person shared: “I don’t like red wine and tried mulled rose at a Christmas market last year. It was lovely!”
Someone else also said: “I think I could get onboard with this as only love the first mouthful or two of mulled wine then it’s too much.”
However, not everyone convinced that mulled rose would be a good idea, as one person said: “Wait so… are we drinking this warm? Warm rose is scary.”
