Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced they have signed a new “multi-year, first look deal for film and television projects” with Netflix and we want to know what YOU think. The Sussexes’ described the deal as ‘extending their creative partnership’ with the streaming platform.

After weeks of speculation over their future with the streaming giant, Harry and Meghan’s new deal means Netflix will have the first option on their new projects. However, it has been described as a ‘downgrade’ on their previous multi-million dollar exclusive deal.

In 2020, the Sussexes signed a lucrative contract with Netflix, reported to be worth more than $100m (ÂŁ74m). The deal ultimately led to the creation of the couple’s controversial docuseries, Harry & Meghan, in which they were highly critical of the Royal Family. If you can’t see the poll below, click here.

The series ultimately became one of Netflix’s most watched documentaries of all time. However, Harry and Meghan’s more recent projects, such as Harry’s series on Polo and Meghan’s cookery show, have struggled to bring in anywhere near to the same amount of numbers.

Released back in March, Meghan’s latest show – With Love, Meghan – failed to break into the top 300 most-watched shows on Netflix in the first half of 2025. The lifestyle TV series, in which the Duchess of Sussex invites friends and family to a California estate, was also slammed by many critics.

Only Meghan spoke out on the announcement of the new deal, describing how she and Harry feel ‘inspired’ by their streaming platform partners, who “share their vision”. However, the Sussexes detailed several new projects that viewers will soon be able to watch.

Season 2 of With Love, Meghan is set for release later this month, as Meghan returns to screens with a “fun and heartwarming new season of her lifestyle show, welcoming celebrity chefs, talented artists, and beloved friends for hands-on adventures filled with laughter and discovery.

“From playful cooking challenges to DIY projects, Meghan and her guests will explore bold flavours, experiment with new techniques, and discover simple ways to add beauty to everyday life.”

Fans of the show are also in for a treat later this year, as a special festive episode of the show, titled With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration, will be released. Viewers will join Meghan in Montecito for a “magical holiday celebration, as she joins with friends and family to deck the halls.”

Harry and Meghan’s company Archewell Productions will also present a new, documentary-short film called Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within – about orphaned children in Uganda’s Masaka region, where the “shadows of the HIV/Aids crisis linger”.

Netflix said: “Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within goes beyond the viral videos to reveal a vibrant, one-of-a-kind community where orphaned children transform hardship into joy, dancing their way toward healing, belonging and the promise of a brighter future.”

Archewell Productions is also in active development on additional projects with Netflix that span a variety of content genres. What do you think? Should Netflix continue to work with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle? Take our poll and have your say in the comments below.
