Sienna Miller looked stunning at the Met Gala 2024, and her MUA has now revealed how she created the star’s makeup look – and it’s so easy to recreate at home
Sienna Miller was one of dozens of a-listers who graced the famous stairs to The Met Gala this Bank Holiday, among the likes of Kim Kardashian, Zendeya and J-Lo. The blonde model and actress looked glam as she stepped out in a white lace gown, just months after giving birth to her second baby.
And while many were swooning over her boho-bridal inspired outfit as she posed with Greta Gerwig, Chemena Kamali, Emma Mackey and Zoe Saldana, here at The Mirror, we couldn’t help but notice her flawless makeup. And we’ve found out exactly what she was wearing.
The 42-year-old’s makeup artist Wendy Rowe has revealed a selection of the products she used on the mum-of-two, including her exact foundation. Wendy described the final look, created using the brand Code8, as “understated, modern and ethereal beauty”, which perfectly matched the Garden of Time dress code.

Wendy began Sienna’s makeup transformation by applying the Code8 Beauty Foundation, using her hands for a seamless application to ensure Miller’s skin looked refreshed and radiant throughout the evening. The Day To Night Foundation is a medium-to-full coverage formula that promises ‘long lasting, all-day wear’, so you can see why it was an easy choice for the star-studded event.
Available in 15 shades, Sienna wore a combination of NW30 and W20 to match her skin tone. The foundation is said to give a ‘skin-perfecting, natural look’ with a demi-matte finish, and is enriched with Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin E and an anti-wrinkle agent for that youthful glow Sienna is renowned for.
Usually £46, the foundation is currently on sale, down to £36.49, meaning now is your chance to bag it if you’re looking for a celeb-approved base product to see you through your special summer occasions.
Shoppers who used the foundation said it ‘blends well and gives good coverage’ adding: “Does not accentuate my 59 year old wrinkles at all,” with another saying it didn’t make their skin ‘cakey or flaky’ like other brands. However, for those who prefer a light coverage, it may not be suitable, with the likes of Armani Luminous Silk Foundation being better suited for those who want a really natural looking finish.
To conceal any imperfections and brighten the under-eye area, Sienna’s MUA used the Code8 Seamless Cover Concealer. She said: “I used the Seamless Cover Concealer in NC15 under her eyes. I then added the Bronzer in shade Summer Glow. Following this, I set Sienna’s face using the Matte Velour Powder in Medium, concentrating on the T-Zone.”
Highlight and Sculpt were strategically applied above her cheekbones, on the bridge of her nose and cupid’s bow to accentuate her features, before moving on to the eye look. Wendy added: “For the eyes I used Eye Shadow Palette Iconoclast 1 on the lid, and in the socket line 2. Carbon Black Eyeliner was applied super skinny close to the lashes.” She then added the Lash Sophisticate Mascara to make her peepers really pop.
Completing the look, Rowe lined Miller’s lips with the Salvador Lip Liner and filled them in with the Colour Brilliance Lipstick in St Germain, achieving a perfectly plumped pout.
For me though, it’s Sienna’s glowing complexion that stole the show, with the Code8 Day to Night foundation being a prime choice for events like weddings or for those days you just want to feel a bit more glam. You can find some of our other favourite foundations here.
