If you find plants simply wilt away when you get within a mile of them, a woman, who isn’t great in the garden, admitted she has the perfect hack to help. So will you give this a go?
Gardening can be hard. But if you’re the sort of person who constantly kills plants, then this could be the perfect life hack for you.
If you’re trying to spruce your outdoor space up before the height of summer, you’ll likely have your eye on plants you want to buy. But sometimes it can be hard to get the balance right when you’re watering them, to avoid overwatering and underwatering.
User @cclizz24 shared her “garden hack” to get rid of these woes, however, so you no longer have to Google how often a certain plant needs watering – and it’s so simple.
She recommended if you’re not “green-thumbed”, then you should get fake flowers. She also recommended getting a preservative spray for the flowers to keep them looking fresh, and said “nice fresh fake garden”, claiming nobody will be able to tell the difference.
“Everyone will be like oh my gosh how cute is your garden, and they will never know unless they want to touch and smell the flowers”, she said. She also recommended you get the faux flowers from Hobby Lobby, which is an American company, but other retailers sell similar in the UK.
For example, an arrangement of flowers from Dunelm will set you back just £18, and 12 bundles of artificial shrubs from Amazon cost £14.99. A spray for artificial flowers can be purchased from Amazon for £7.09.
In the comments, people said they really were “like real” flowers, with some saying that they were “sold” on the hack because the faux arrangement looked so good.
Someone commented: “That’s what I’m currently working on got my stuff from Hobby Lobby too”, and another said: “Saving this because I keep killing s**t.” Another person was less than impressed, however, sharing it was “horrifying and terrible for the planet”.
