A 16-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital after a stabbing in South London, police say. Officers were called to a knife attack outside a house in Addington Road in South Croydon just after 12am on Saturday (July 5). Police say the boy was taken to hospital where he is ‘stable’.
The junction with Old Farleigh Road was cordoned off for much of the day, with officers taking interest in an abandoned black VW people carrier in the middle of the road. Forensics were also on the scene.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “We were called at 00:07hrs on Saturday, 5 July to reports of a stabbing outside a house in Addington Road, South Croydon. Met officers responded with paramedics and a 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital with a stab wound. He remains in a stable condition. His next of kin have been informed.
“An investigation is under way and enquiries are ongoing. There have been no arrests. Any witnesses are asked to call 101 quoting CAD 39/05Jul.”
