The fan-favourite sandwich chain has unleashed its new Saver Subs menu – with three delicious six-inch options available for a price you’d hardly believe

If you’re always drooling for some fast food but can’t justify the price – look no further. Subway has now unleashed its new Saver Subs menu, with three mouth-watering options that will no doubt suit any taste.

Looking for something classic? One option on the Saver menu is a six-inch BLT sandwich- piling delicious streaky bacon on to a light layer of mayonnaise, lettuce and tomato. This butty along with the other Saver options, is now available across almost 2,000 stores at just under £3.49 – £3.50 less than the typical price of its classic Meatball Marinara.

If you instead want to go big on the spice, you could try out their Nacho Chicken Saver Sub. Inside this six-incher you’ll find the sandwich chain’s fan-favourite ‘Nacho chicken’, with the fillets coated in crushed tortilla to give it a to-die-for crunchy texture.

This is then coated in a mayonnaise-based Southwest sauce that combines the smokiness of paprika and the spiciness of cayenne peppers to give it a little kick. The sandwich is then finished off with some melted cheese, tomato and lettuce, but customers can customise the recipe if they wish.

A Cheese and Tomato recipe is the last and final sub to make it on to the chain’s new Saver menu. This too is a can’t-go-wrong classic, encompassing American-style melted cheese, mayonnaise and tomato. Once again, it’s also available for under £3.49, but Subway says this can depend on the location.

The new Saver menu comes amidst the resurgence of an old-favourite too – the irresistible Raspberry Cheesecake cookie. Its secret formula combines scrumptious white chocolate chips with sweet raspberry pieces, but may not be suitable for those with nut allergies.

And, if you think it couldn’t get any better, the sandwich chain also just launched an entirely new ‘Smokehouse Edition’, with three completely unheard-of BBQ-inspired Subs listed. Amongst them is the BBQ Baller, a twist on the iconic meatball Sub stacked with pork, meatballs and peppered cheese, alongside lettuce, red onions, peppers and crispy onions.

A delicious Chipotle Cheese Steak Sub is available too, going hard on the spice with a Philly Steak, jalapenos, red peppers, red onion and crispy onions. You might want to brace yourselves though, as it’s also topped off with a X-Spicy Chipotle Southwest sauce – bringing spice you’d hardly believe existed.

And, last but not least, you have the Hunter’s Chicken option, which creators say is inspired by the British pub classic. As you might expect, this beauty combines maple-glazed bacon with chicken breasts, BBQ sauce and melted cheese. Lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, red onion and crispy onion can accompany it too for even more flavour. Prices of these three Subs are also store-dependent.

Talking about the new range, Rusty Warren, Senior Product Innovation Manager, at Subway, said: “There are lots of new and exciting developments arriving at Subway this month that we are excited for our fans to try!

“We’ve really dialled up the flavours with The Smokehouse Edition; three new Subs packed with smoky BBQ-inspired flavours, a flavour trend we have seen accelerate this year – across the UK & Ireland. These deliver a new and flavourful kick to our menu for you to choose from.”
