Surbiton stabbing sees man, 30, rushed to hospital

A 30-year-old has been taken to hospital after a stabbing in Surbiton, South London, last night (Wednesday, May 14). Police and paramedics were called to Victoria Road shortly after 10pm to reports of the attack.

The victim was taken to hospital where his injuries were found to be neither life-threatening or life-changing. No arrests have been made so far in connection with the investigation.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “On Wednesday, May 14 at 10.06pm police and the London Ambulance Service responded to reports of a stabbing on Victoria Road, Surbiton. A 30-year-old man was taken to hospital where his injuries were treated.

“His injuries are non-life-threatening or life-changing. The victim remains in hospital. Investigations are ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage.

“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting reference 8615/14MAY. You can also provide information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

A spokesperson for the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 10.04pm last night (14 May) to reports of a stabbing in Victoria Road, Surbiton.

“We sent an ambulance crew, paramedics in fast response cars and an incident response officer to the scene. We also dispatched an advanced trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance.

“We treated a patient at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
