Suspect ‘smashed car window on M3’ as police launch witness appeal

Police have appealed for information after an incident criminal damage on the M3 in between Bagshot and Frimley. On Thursday, August 14, between junctions 3 and 4 at around 10:15pm, the victim reported that they were travelling westbound in lane one in slow-moving traffic.

They said that the suspect got out of a dark-coloured vehicle behind and approached their car, a silver Kia Ceed. In what appears to be an unprovoked attack, the suspect then used an object to smash the victim’s rear windscreen.

Surrey Police said: “Were you driving along the M3 near Bagshot or Frimley at this time? We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or may have any dashcam footage, to get in touch.
