Taylor Swift is going to release her re-recorded album “Reputation” on Friday, August 2 if fans are to be believed – the same day Ye’s album “Vultures 2” drops

Taylor Swift fans think she’s going to release ‘Reputation (Taylor’s Version)’ on 2 August, which just so happens to be the day Kanye West’s new project drops.

Swift’s re-recording of her sixth studio album has been a long time coming, with speculation mounting for months. Now, fans are convinced the release is just around the corner after noticing a string of clues.

While there are too many theories to count, convinced fans think the release could have been in the pipeline for a while, and it doesn’t hurt that there seem to have been several clues of late. During Paramore’s opening set at an Eras Tour show in Munich on 28 July, Hayley Williams teased the audience by asking “Do you feel ready for it?”, making a clear reference to Reputation hit “…Ready For It?”

Then, in another surprise over the weekend, NBC used an Eras Tour recording of the same song to promote its US Olympics coverage, with permission from Swift. The video featured athletes including Olympic champion Simone Biles, who included the song in her floor routine.

Most recently, Swift shared a message of thanks for fans who attended her latest shows in Munich yet more apparent “Easter Eggs “. In her post on Instagram on Wednesday, Swift opted for a photo from her “Reputation” era as the lead image in the carousel. She also shared an image from her “Reputation” performance on the eighth slide, in which she can be seen holding up a peace sign, or the number two, according to fans.

As such, fans reckon August 2 is going to be a significant date for the album and that Swift will either announce or release the project tomorrow.

Sharing one such theory online, Swiftie @beccahard took to TikTok to share their suspicions. “You guys, I don’t think we’re clowning anymore. I think it’s happening,” explained the fan as they shared Swift’s Instagram post. “This immediately caught my eye. Reputation Taylor holding the peace sign, number two, and guess what slide it is on the carousel? It’s the eighth slide. 8/2. August second. This is not a coincidence. If it is a coincidence I’ll be very surprised.”

Elsewhere, in a video shared a week ago, megafan @kristenm.13 theorised the album will be announced on August 2 before it is then released on October 11. “It’s August 2,” they announced. “I have been clowning for this for the past five months,” they continued, before launching into several theories in the five-minute video which has received over 100,000 likes and counting.

As fans have noticed, August 2 also marks the expected release date of another album. Earlier this week, it was announced Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) and Ty Dolla $ign’s delayed album “Vultures 2” will be released on August 2 — in news that has amused several Swifties.

Reacting to Ye’s news on TikTok, Swiftie @repudaytion joked that “Taylor has the opportunity to do the funniest thing ever” if she does announce her album tomorrow.

“Rumours are swirling that perhaps 8/2 this Friday is the day that Taylor might announce ‘Reputation (Taylor’s Version)’. I’m personally not fully on that train but after seeing this announcement, I want it,” the fan explained. “It’s absolutely not going to happen. But what if it did?”

In the comments, Swifties were quick to share their excitement. “No explanation just reputation. Drop it Queen,” wrote one commenter. A second teased: “What if she comes out and is like “Kanye I’m really happy for you and ima let you finish but reputation was one of the best albums of all time AND REPUTATION TV WILL BE OUT IN OCTOBER….”

Another thought: “This would be absolute gold,” and someone else replied: “Taylor PLEASE be this petty.”
