Urban explorer shocked by discovery at abandoned warehouse
Google Earth uses worldwide satellite imagery and 3D buildings and terrain for hundreds of cities, allowing you to examine different locations across the world and zoom in on specific areas. Some people have childhood memories of using the programās Street View function to find their house during early ICT or computer lessons in school.
One budding teen explorer was delighted when he came across an unusual discovery on Google Earth recently – an abandoned warehouse full of crates of unopened energy drinks and a number of NASCAR vehicles. Jonathan, 16, found the abandoned property while searching for interesting places to check out in his local area.
The property, thought to have been abandoned back in 2022, was in fairly good condition and contained a huge haul inside.
Jonathan shared footage of his discovery on TikTok, where it has racked up 7.2 million views.
He told NeedToKnow : āI found thousands and thousands of energy drinks alongside the race cars meant for the company. And, for some reason, a vintage show car and two random normal cars.ā
The young explorer added: ā I think it’s one of the coolest places we have explored because of the products in there.
āThere are thousands of dollars left behind in there including the cars.
āItās even more insane that the cars are worth tens of thousands [and are] just left to rust and rot away.ā
The deserted factory sits close to the TennesseeāVirginia border in the United States.
In Jonathan’s video, the building appears packed wall to wall with sealed pallets stacked with energy drinks.
The TikTok clip has garnered more than 818,000 likes and more than 3,000 comments.
One user said: āNeeeeeeeed to find this.ā Another added: āIf they werenāt expired, Iād take whatever I could fit in my car.ā
A third viewer joked: āItās like an all-you-can-eat buffet!ā While a fourth chimed in: āThis building would hate to see me coming.ā
Someone else remarked: āCasually hits the jackpot.ā
A different user gave a warning though, saying: āFor anyone curious about getting into this, if you find an abandoned building that hasnāt been graffitied, used for parties or used by squatters LEAVE. Thereās a reason they left it alone.ā
