Teenager, 19, stabbed near Bounds Green park in broad daylight

A teenager has been stabbed near a North London park. Police say they were called to Bounds Green at around 7.05pm yesterday (Wednesday, July 24).

At the scene, they found a 19-year-old with a stab wound. The incident occurred near the Oliver Tambo Recreation Ground in Albert Road.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman told the Evening Standard: “He has been taken to hospital for treatment. His condition is not thought to be life threatening.”

They added that there had been no arrests at the time and enquiries into the circumstances continue. It happened a day after a 15-year-old was stabbed to death on Stellman Close, Hackney on Tuesday (July 23).

Before that, Rene Graham, also 15, was shot dead in Ladbroke Grove on Sunday (July 21).
