A 32-year-old man has been charged with his murder

The 18-year-old boy shot to death outside a bar in Wembley has been named and pictured. Tyrece Balcha, from Hillingdon in West London, was shot on Sunday (September 21) on Atlantic Crescent and died yesterday (Thursday, September 25) in hospital.

32-year-old Adem Altindal, from Wood Green in North London, has today (Friday, September 26) been charged with his murder after being arrested yesterday. He’ll appear before a judge at Haringey Mags later today.

There’s another man in police custody who was arrested yesterday on suspicion of murder and possession of a firearm, but he remains nameless. Two other men, Rafael Reveane Rodriguez and Dennis Gambrah, were charged with attempted murder after being arrested on Tuesday (September 23), while seven others have been arrested in connection.

Tyrece’s family has since paid tribute, saying his ‘spirit will live on’ and commending him for opting in as an organ donor.

“We are devastated that our amazing son, brother, and grandchild who was kind, loving, funny, and hardworking has been senselessly taken from us,” they said.

“We are grieving for his life that has been cut short but through his selfless gift as a donor, his spirit will live on. He will be deeply missed.”

DCI Phil Clarke, leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts are with the loved ones of Tyrece at this very difficult time. They continue to be supported by specialist officers, and we ask you to respect their privacy.

“My team continue to work at pace to establish the full circumstances that led to this man’s tragic death.”

DCS Luke Williams, meanwhile, who heads up Wembley’s policing, added: “We recognise the concern and alarm this incident has caused within the community – particularly as it happened at a busy event.

“We’d like to reassure the public that their safety is of the utmost importance.

“We have increased patrols in the area, and you will see a continued police presence over the next few days. “If you have any information about this incident, however small it may seem, please get in touch and let us know.”
