It’s a major change from the UK’s largest supermarket, Tesco
Tesco has unveiled a fresh method for customers to TRIPLE Clubcard points. The retail giant, which stands as the UK’s largest, announces that shoppers enrolled in its loyalty programme can now swap points for PizzaExpress reward codes worth three times their original value.
This update from Tesco means every 50p in Clubcard vouchers can be transformed into £1.50 to spend with the restaurant chain. Tesco runs outlets throughout London and its Clubcard programme continues to lead the market amongst supermarket loyalty schemes.
The alteration means customers who accumulated £10 worth of Clubcard Vouchers could obtain a £30 PizzaExpress reward code. Tesco faces competition from Lidl, Aldi, Morrisons, Asda, and Sainsbury’s.
This development from the supermarket, which holds the position as Britain’s biggest grocer, follows its decision to reduce the number of triple points offers it provided several years ago.
Previously, under earlier terms and conditions, customers could regularly swap and triple voucher values at numerous reward partners including Pizza Express and Zizzi, reports Birmingham Live.
However, in 2023, the supermarket announced that vouchers would only hold double their worth when exchanged at any of Tesco’s 100 reward partners.
Shama Wilson, Tesco group membership and loyalty director, said: “We are committed to offering our Clubcard Members amazing rewards, which is why we are delighted that Clubcard vouchers are now worth triple their value towards food at PizzaExpress, one of our most popular Clubcard reward partners.”
Shama continued, stating: “Using your vouchers at three times the value for a tasty meal at PizzaExpress is an ideal way to treat the family, enjoy time with friends or take a break from the pre-Christmas shopping and save money at the same time.”
Tesco converts your points into vouchers and includes them in your quarterly statement. If you’re eager to get your vouchers sooner, you can request them via the Tesco Grocery and Clubcard app or through your online Clubcard account.
You can double your Clubcard voucher value when you use it with over 100 Reward Partners.
For most of its Reward Partners, you can makeup the price difference using another payment method – except for Disney+.
If your Clubcard voucher exceeds the amount you wish to exchange, you’ll receive the difference back in Clubcard points.
These points will appear in your next statement or be converted into another Clubcard voucher.
