Tesco opening hours will be affected by the Easter bank holiday weekend.
This year, Good Friday and Easter Monday fall on March 29 and April 1. Easter Sunday falls on March 31 this year and across the country many larger supermarket stores will be closing for the day – this includes Tesco.
Normal opening hours at Tesco – for both its larger and convenience stores – are usually open from between 6am or 7am and close as late between 10pm and midnight. On Good Friday, Tesco confirmed that the majority of its stores will operate under their normal opening hours but those that are normally open later will close at 10pm.
Saturday will see Tesco stores open as normal. On Easter Sunday, all of Tesco’s large stores in England, Wales and Northern Ireland will be closed. The majority of the supermarket’s convenience stores will remain open during their normal opening hours and these are usually from 6am to 11pm. Scottish Tesco stores will remain open on Easter Sunday with reduced hours from 8am until 8pm.
On Easter Monday, store opening hours will vary depending on location and store type – many large stores will be operating with reduced hours, closing by 8pm. Our Express stores will be open as usual.
Tesco also offers same-day delivery service called Whoosh and according to Tesco’s website, Whoosh will be operating as normal during the Easter holidays. However, some stores will offer a slightly reduced service on Good Friday and Easter Monday due to alcohol licensing restrictions. On Easter Sunday, a small amount of Whoosh stores will be closed you can check your local store’s opening hours for more information on this.
