NFL London and Arsenal Women’s match against Brighton will both start at 2.30pm on Sunday, October 12
The Victoria line will be extremely busy this weekend due to a closure on a different Tube line during two major events, Transport for London (TfL) has warned. There will be no service on the Piccadilly line between Hammersmith and Cockfosters on Saturday and Sunday (October 11 and 12) due to track works.
TfL bosses have warned more passengers will be forced to use the Victoria line when heading to the NFL London match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Arsenal Women’s match against Brighton at the Emirates Stadium. Both will kick off at 2.30pm.
Usually, fans attending the Arsenal match are able to use Arsenal, Holloway Road or Caledonian Road stations, but it won’t be possible this weekend while the Piccadilly line is suspended. As a result, most fans will need to walk from Highbury and Islington or Finsbury Park on the Victoria line.
TfL has also confirmed there will be major disruption on the DLR this weekend, while some short-term closures will be in place on the London Overground. Below is a full roundup of TfL weekend closures for Saturday, October 11 and Sunday, October 12.
