We all have our favourite pubs but which ones are considered the best in the UK?
This week, the National Pub and Bar Awards announced their shortlist for the best boozers in the UK with the list featuring 94 pub branches across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. All of the 94 “County Winners” will now head to the National Pub & Bar Awards Grand Final on June 26 to discover which sites will win the best in their region, as well as which venue will be named the best in the UK.Â
Other accolades up for grabs this year are the Pub Brand of the Year, Bar Brand of the Year, Pub Chef of the Year and Sustainable Pub & Bar of the Year. 50 pubs in England were shortlisted with Scotland seeing 32 of its pubs crowned County Champions. Wales has eight shortlisted while Northern Ireland has six.
Entries for the awards opened at the start of the year and the National Pub and Bar Awards said there was a “record-breaking” amount of entries for 2024. Hundreds of venues put themselves forward by outlining the details of their operation and summarising the work that goes into their pub’s design, training, team welfare, sustainability, food, drink, marketing and many other areas. So, wondering if your local made the cut? Well without further ado, here are all the County Winners of the National Pub and Bar Awards 2024.
