The Harry Potter series is chock-full of renowned actors, including Brendan Gleeson, who portrayed Alastor Moody, and his son Domhnall, who was just beginning his acting journey at the time.

Domhnall, now 39, took on the role of Bill Weasley in the final two Harry Potter films, where his character ties the knot with Fleur Delacour and takes part in the Battle of Hogwarts.

Around the same period, the Dublin-born actor also played a supporting role as Rodney in Never Let Me Go.

Shortly after his stint in the Harry Potter series, Domhnall bagged the lead role as Tim Lake in Richard Curtis’ About Time.

He then went on to star as Captain Andrew Henry in the award-winning film The Revenant, General Armitage Hux in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, and Winnie-the-Pooh creator A.A. Milne in Goodbye Christopher Robin.

Domhnall’s father Brendan is also a highly acclaimed actor, known for his roles in films such as Troy, Suffragette, Paddington 2, In Bruges, and most recently The Banshees of Inisherin – earning him a Golden Globe nomination.

Domhnall himself has been nominated for a Golden Globe this year for his supporting role in the psychological thriller The Patient.
