With voting booths now closed, there’s a tense few hours ahead of us as votes are counted. The latest polls show that Rishi Sunak’s Conservative Party is heading for a total wipeout nationwide, leading to a Labour Party landslide.
The last Labour landslide victory when in opposition was by Sir Tony Blair in 1997, who ended 18 years of Tory rule. This could have big implications for the capital as according to YouGov, Labour is on course for a record showing in London, with the Tories predicted to win just six of the possible 75 seats.
Labour is predicted to snap up 63 seats in London, which will result in an unprecedented 84 per cent of the city’s seats. Nigel Farage’s Reform UK are predicted to perform well in Bexley, Bromley, Havering, and Redbridge. Below is a list of London’s Tories set to be ousted tomorrow morning (July 5).
