May was another busy month in London’s courtrooms where sentences were doled out for all manner of offences. In East London, a pair of fraudsters who posed as police officers, attempting to fleece the elderly of their life-savings, were caught and locked up. In West London, a rapist was brought to justice, even after the death the victim, his wife, who left a harrowing recording of the attack.
In South London, a paedophile did not count on live facial recognition cameras picking him out hand-in-hand with a young girl, despite his ban from being with children after a string of historic child sex offences. In North London a cowardly thug got his comeuppance for a doorstep stabbing attack, though the specific motive remains elusive.
