Josie Gibson looked stunning as she returned to presenting This Morning in a wine-red maxi dress that’s the perfect pick for autumn, and you can still shop it in all sizes
After being asked by fans for weeks when she’d be returning to host This Morning, Josie Gibson finally stepped back into the presenter slot this week. Joining Rylan as co-host on Wednesday August 27’s episode to interview Orlando Bloom and Peter Andre, Josie was back with a bang in a statement-making burgundy maxi dress, with the wine colour perfect for segueing into autumn.
Her exact dress was the Long Sleeve Draped Asymmetric Maxi with Gold Teardrop Trims which hails from the V by Very range. Affordably priced at £50, the maxi dress is the perfect shade for the colder, cosier season ahead, and it’s easy to style for multiple occasions.

The dress has asymmetric ruching details on the shoulder and waist which help create a flattering hourglass silhouette, with gold hardware details that make it look more expensive than its £50 price tag. Although the dress is elegant enough to work for a formal event or occasion, you could also dress it more casually for work or a dinner date with some flats or loafers, ensuring you get plenty of wear out of it.
The Draped Asymmetric Maxi Dress is made from a soft and stretchy fabric that has a body-skimming fit, so it hugs your curves without being clingy. Very suggests taking your usual size, with sizes available from eight to 20.
Although there’s currently all sizes still in stock, the website shows that it’s been purchased multiple times in the last 24 hours since Josie wore the dress, which means it might not be in stock for very long. However we also found some other great options on the high street, including Quiz’s Plum Buckle Midaxi Dress for £39.99.
Available in sizes six to 20, the dress has a similar figure-hugging fit with gold hardware and draping on the waist, making it a great alternative to Josie’s Very one. Alternatively, the ASOS DESIGN High Neck Slinky Maxi Dress With Ruched Skirt Detail is £40, and whilst it has a similar silhouette it doesn’t feature any gold details, making it a slightly more understated option.
If you want something you could easily wear no matter the occasion, New Look’s Dark Burgundy Lightweight A-Line Knitted Maxi Dress is £34.99 and offers a more laidback take on Josie’s dress. You can easily style it with boots, trainers, loafers or even sandals for in-between weather days, and it can be effortlessly dressed up with heels for more formal occasions.
However, if you want to get your hands on Josie’s autumn must-have maxi dress, you can pick up the Draped Asymmetric Maxi Dress at Very for £50 now.
