Virgin customers can get their first two bills for free on select plans or bag a £200 Sonos soundbar at no extra cost, but the deal ends soon.
Virgin Media loves handing out freebies, and now it’s giving away more than two months of service for free – but the clock is ticking to take advantage of the deal. Last week, the brand unveiled a limited-time ‘lightning deal’ offering a £125 bill credit to new customers.
It’s available with any one of four TV and broadband packages, which include extras like Sky Sports and Netflix and now start at £44.99. Each 24-month plan comes with a £125 bill credit, meaning customers on select plans will pay nothing on their first two bills and still have some left over to come off the following bill.
There’s also the option to receive a free Sonos Ray soundbar worth £199.99 instead of the bill credit for those who’d prefer to upgrade their sound system. The deal is set to end in hours though, as Virgin has started a countdown confirming shoppers must get it before it ends at 11.59pm on Wednesday, August 27.
It’s worth noting that the two months free apply to the Bigger Combo bundle + Movies bundle (£44.99) and Bigger Combo bundle + Sports HD bundle (£54.99). Those opting for Virgin’s Biggest Combo bundle (£64.99) or Mega Volt bundle (£79.99) will receive their first month free and enjoy a partial bill in their second month with any remaining credit.
This comes as Sky launches its own TV and broadband sale, cutting the price of its Essential TV and 300Mbps Full Fibre Broadband plan back to its ‘lowest price’ ever of £35. For those simply seeking broadband, Plusnet is dishing out a £100 reward card on select plans, including its £35.99 Full Fibre 900 option – the brand’s ‘fastest ever’ speeds.
