Two arrested after man, 41, dies in Croydon shooting outside Costco

Two people have been arrested after a 41-year-old man was shot dead outside Costco in Croydon last Thursday (June 19). Shortly after 5pm the victim was gunned down near the wholesaler’s entrance on Imperial Way.

Police and paramedics rushed to the scene following reports of the shooting, but he died shortly afterwards. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

On Sunday, June 22, Scotland Yard arrested a 41-year-old man on suspicion of murder. A 37-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. They both remain in police custody.

Detective Chief Inspector Dan Whitten, from the Met’s specialist crime command, said: “My thoughts remain with the victim’s family as they come to terms with this tragic loss. Our team of specially trained officers continue to support them as our investigation progresses.

“We would urge any witnesses to come forward and share information with us.”
