Two men charged after man shot in Dagenham in broad daylight attack

Two men have been charged after a man was shot in East London. Police raced to where Wren Road meets Porters Avenue, in Dagenham, at around 1pm on June 5.

There they found a 22-year-old man, whose condition is not life changing or life-threatening. Luke Parr, 23, from Dagenham, was arrested on Monday (June 10) on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

He was charged earlier today (June 12) with possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life, and manufacturing firearms and ammunition. He was remanded in custody and will appear at Barkingside Magistrates Court today.

Troy Eugene, 23, from Barking, was charged yesterday (June 11) with attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of a firearm. Eugene appeared at Thames Magistrates Court today and was remanded to appear at the Central Criminal Court on Tuesday, July 9.

A 22-year-old woman was also arrested two days ago (June 10) on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm. She has been released on bail.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “[Police were called at] 1.06pm on Wednesday, June 5, to reports of a person shot in Wren Road/Porters Avenue, Dagenham. Officers and London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended.

“At the scene they found a 23-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital where his injuries were not life threatening or life changing.
