Police are investigating after two men appeared in hospital with stab wounds. On Thursday, August 28 at 4.30am, the pair – both aged in their twenties – appeared at North Middlesex University Hospital.

They had travelled around two miles with multiple injuries. It’s believed the two were attacked on Green Lanes sometime in the early hours. A crime scene was set up at the junction of Upsdell Avenue whilst enquiries were made, but this has since been removed.

Photos taken at the scene showed a large cordon blocking off the pavement in front of a row of shops and restaurants. A number of police officers can also be seen standing guard.

No one has been arrested in connection as of yet, the Metropolitan Police has since confirmed. The condition of the two injured men has since been deemed neither life-threatening or life-changing, the force added.

This the second multi-victim stabbing reported in the capital in recent days, with two teenage boys knifed on Bermondsey’s Old Kent Road late on Wednesday evening. A 17-year-old boy has since been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

A Metropolitan Police statement reads: “On Thursday, 28 August at 04:31hrs police were called by medical staff after two men self-presented with stab wounds at a hospital in Sterling Way, N18. Met officers attended the hospital and created a crime scene on Green Lanes, N13.

“Two men, both aged in their 20s had received stab injuries at the location. They did not receive any life-changing or threatening-injuries. The crime scene has since been closed. At this early stage, no arrests have been made.”

Anyone with information regarding the Green Lanes stabbing is urged to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 1104/28AUG. Anonymous reports can be made to Crimestoppers via 0800 555 111 or the charity’s website.
