Shoppers will get a mega £300 off the newest Samsung phone thanks to a surprise high-street sale, and there’s no hidden catch

John Lewis has launched an unmissable discount on the Galaxy S24 phone, shaving hundreds of pounds off the original cost to make it a lot cheaper than Samsung’s own price. And unsurprisingly the cheapest price is flying off the shelves.

In the past hour, more than 100 people have viewed the deal with nine people buying it in the last few minutes (at the time of writing) – and it’s certainly the cheapest price around.

Usually £799 the 128GB model has dropped to £499, which is only slightly more than Samsung’s budget A55 model yet packed with far punchier features – 8GB of RAM, a 6.2-inch screen, and snazzy AI features that help transform photos with editing or automated text for social posts.

The mega offer is available in four different colours; Onyx Black, Cobalt Violet, Amber Yellow, and Marble Grey, which are the exact same shades offered at Samsung’s flagship site. Although, anyone with its limited-edition Sapphire Blue, and Sandstone Orange can only get these at Samsung until May 22.

Now, we’d always recommend scouring various retailers and providers when it comes to tech, as they shouldn’t be whim buys but we can say this cheapest deal won’t stay around for long. So Galaxy fans, you’ll want to do your research quickly. To help, we’ve picked the Samsung store and Sky contract prices to show just how much cheaper John Lewis’ price drop is.

Samsung may be the first port of call for Galaxy shoppers but its own tech site is selling the model for £649 outright, that’s £150 more expensive. Now, if you have an older device lying around though you will be able to drop a potential £470 off the cost, which could (and this is all dependant) drop the price to £179.

Yes, that’s if you have an ‘old’ S23 Ultra to trade in, if not then the trade-in rate starts at the minimum £100 discount – and it doesn’t have to be a Samsung model either with Apple, Oppo, and Google also on the list.

Now moving onto a Sky Mobile contract as it’s just launched what it says to be its ‘lowest price ever’. The contract has dropped in price from £26 a month to £23, but there’s a few things you’ll want to know. Despite allowing customers to swap their device every 24 months this is actually a 36-month contract, so you’ll have to commit to the price as a minimum.

This brings its S24 total device cost across the three year plan to £828, without any data that will need to be added. Another retailer to consider could be Currys, as it’s offering the model for £649, not as cheap as John Lewis but more affordable compared to Sky. You can buy the John Lewis £499 deal, here.
