American mum Lisa Dollan, known online as Yorkshire Peach, was left in stitches after her eight-year-old son berated her for being ‘too American’ whilst at the park…
An American mum living in Yorkshire has been roasted by her son – leaving her in hysterics.
The parent, from the state of Georgia, fell in love with her now-husband Paul after they met at a business conference back in 2009. She decided to move over to sunny Leeds and now has an eight-year-old kid named Lucas.
Known as Yorkshire Peach online, Lisa Dollan has amassed a staggering 1.2 million followers on TikTok by sharing her candid experience of moving across the pond and becoming part of a *very* British family. But her son has recently scolded her for still being ‘too American’ in public…
In a recent video, which has garnered more than 832,000 views at the time of writing – the mum explained how she had recently taken Lucas to the park. When she realised he was finally able to do the monkey bars himself, she started cheering him on – shouting ‘go lucas’, ‘amazing’, and ‘you’ve done it’.
“He came running up to me with a face of thunder [saying] ‘Mummy, you’re American and I’m British – can you not be so loud.,” the mum said. “‘Everytime we go somewhere you’re so loud and ‘blah blah blah’ and I don’t want to be like that’.”
Then, on the walk home, the son also berated his mother for lacking spatial awareness, adding: “You guys don’t have the awareness of space like we do in the UK.” Lisa remarked: “Honest to god, do you know what – he’s been talking to his dad. There’s no way he’s come up with that on his own.”

Hundreds of viewers flocked to the comments section to praise the little boy. “Spoken like a true Brit,” one person said. Another wrote: “He’s a true Brit! God love him.” While a third simply added: “He told no lies.”
Many users also couldn’t believe how the mum’s Southern US accent has slowly mixed with a Yorkshire dialect. “Your accent is wild. Southern to English to plain lol, love this,” one fan wrote.
“That southern twang and the British accent doesn’t process in my brain. I’m not sure what to think!” another said, with a laughing emoji. A third added: “My brain can’t process how you switch between a Yorkshire accent and a dang ole draw!”
