A Vinted seller has confessed one of the most annoying things people always for when she is listing items.

The site, which is the leading second-hand fashion marketplace in Europe, has millions of users across the world using the platform to sell and buy pre-loved clothes, accessories and gadgets.

Most people use the site to get a quick bargain on pre-loved items or even clothes that still have tags on and have never been worn.

Although people list items at a bargain price, there is still an option to haggle with the seller, offer a lower price or ask questions about the item.

This function can be handy if you’re unsure about the sizing of an item or want to know more about why it’s being sold, but one user has expressed her frustration at a question she has been asked.

TikTok user, @midlife_suits_me, posted a video on the platform and said: “No Sarah from Reading, I’m not sending you armpit to armpit measurements for a £3 top. This is Vinted, not Selfridges”

Other sellers agreed with the poster, adding that they found the question was “annoying” and that they “hated it”, while others couldn’t understand what the problem was.

One user said: “God forbid people want to buy an item that fits.”

Another added: “Would rather that then them complain it doesn’t fit and try to return.”

On Monday, November 10, users of the app noticed a major change. In the women’s sizing section, Vinted has now grouped sizes together, which will change the way users both search and upload their clothing.

Instead of there being a letter for each size, an XS is now 4-6, S is now 8-10, and M is 12-14. The change also impacts clothing that has already been listed on the platform, which has left users with a bitter taste in their mouth.

Vinted spokesperson said: “We’ve updated our size guidelines for women’s and kid’s clothing to make sizing more accurate across international brands. UK members will have received a message in their Vinted inbox with more details and you can also find full information on our Help Centre.”
