Virgin Media is dishing out free iPads as it relaunches a popular giveaway, but the deadline to claim it is fast approaching
Virgin Media’s latest giveaway is coming to an end, but there’s still a way to get a free iPad before the looming deadline. Last week, Virgin brought back a popular deal offering one of Apple’s flagship tablets completely free when signing up for a particular TV and broadband plan.
Shoppers who purchase Virgin’s 18-month Mega Volt bundle will receive an iPad Cellular 64GB (9th Gen) model at no extra cost, but time is running out to get the deal before it ends at 11.59pm on Wednesday, June 11. Along with the free device, this package provides access to more than 230 TV channels, 1,130Mbps fibre broadband and a Netflix subscription.
It also includes access to Sky Sports and Sky Cinema, plus an O2 SIM card with unlimited data. And costs a total price of £88.99 per month.

Virgin previously offered the same deal in March, but has not confirmed any plans to bring it back later this year. The iPad included in the deal isn’t Apple’s flagship device but was launched 2021, and would still cost around £200 if bought separately.
It boasts a 10.2″ screen, a decent processor and is compatible with Apple’s keyboard case and Apple Pencil, reports The Mirror. Those seeking a new model may want to consider Amazon’s deal on the new iPad A16.
Elsewhere, Sky Mobile lets customers spread the cost of their gadgets, with the more recent iPad Pro 13″ M4 (2024) priced at £34 when spreading the cost.

Virgin Media is dishing out free Apple iPads to shoppers who sign up for its Mega Volt bundle.
But for those sticking with Virgin, here’s exactly what’s included in the provider’s Mega Volt bundle:
- Gigabit broadband: Virgin’s fastest broadband, Gig1 Fibre, which provides 1,130Mbps average download speeds.
- WiFi guarantee: Virgin’s market-leading WiFi guarantee is included at no extra cost (usually £8 per month), offering customers minimum download speeds of 30Mbps in every room or £100 back.
- TV: A huge variety of 230+ TV channels and subscription services including Netflix standard with ads, Sky Sports HD and Sky Cinema HD at no extra cost.
- Mobile: An unlimited O2 SIM which includes data roaming (up to 25GB) in 75 worldwide destinations including USA, Australia and 49 EU destinations at no extra cost.
- O2 Extra: Customers can choose a subscription service including Disney+, McAffee, Amazon’s Prime Video or Audible free for six months.
The £88.99 per month contract runs for 18 months and ends up being a substantial price to pay for those purely in the market for a free iPad. With that, we’d recommend shopping around if that’s the sole reason for signing up, with Sky recently bringing back a rival TV and broadband deal that’s down to its cheapest ever price of £35.
