Walkers has responded to relentless calls to bring back one of its cult favourites – but it looks like fans will have to wait a little longer before getting their hands on another bag

Crisp lovers are devastated that a cult fave has been discontinued – and it doesn’t look like it’s coming back anytime soon.

Brits have a passionate love for crisps – whether you pop them in your sarnie for a bit of crunch or simply can’t watch a film without devouring several bags. But, over time some of our most beloved flavours get the axe – from Walkers Marmite to the Sizzling Steak Wotsits.

However, one particular flavour under Walker’s Sensations range has saddened crisp fanatics so much they’re willing to go to some pretty extreme lengths to get their hands on another bag.

The Walkers Sensations Mexican Fiery Sweet Chipotle crisps were discontinued last year. They were available in most supermarkets across the UK and featured a ‘deep smoky flavour’ and ‘sweet pimento and onion’, finished off with a ‘lingering heat’.

“Bring back them Mexican Fiery Sweet Chipotle please I’ll remortgage my house,” one user begged. Another wrote: “Bring back the Fiery Sweet Chipotle [crisps] please! I miss them so much.” While a third added: “Please bring back Mexican Fiery Sweet Chipotle flavour. Those were poppin’. Hands down the best of all time and humanity misses them.”

Walkers has responded to the onslaught of calls to revive the product saying it has ‘no comebacks planned’. “But, we’re always listening,” the company added.

The crisp giant recently came under fire after a slew of disgruntled fans noticed a huge problem with the popular crisps, Squares. Taking to X, many users said the iconic crisps were no longer… well, square.

“What’s happened to your Squares crisps? They’re not square anymore. They’re crinkly and shrivelled!” one shopper wrote. Another agreed, commenting: “I see loads of folk complaining about your S&V squares. My whole multipack is thin wrinkly curly squares. They’re half the thickness that they were. Just own up and admit you have cost-cut and changed the recipe!” A third dubbed the new-shaped crisps a ‘national outrage’.

The Mirror has contacted Walkers for comment
