A woman has reported to police she was raped in Walthamstow at the weekend. The woman told Met Police officers she was sexually attacked in Walthamstow Town Square during the early hours of Sunday (June 29).
A crime scene remains whilst officers scour the scene for evidence. Anyone with information should call police on 101 or go online, quoting CAD 1794/29JUN.
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police are investigating after a woman reported that she had been raped in Walthamstow Town Square in the early hours on Sunday, June 29. Enquiries are ongoing and a crime scene is in place.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact police by calling 101 or online, quoting CAD 1794/29JUN. Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or by submitting an online form.”
