Warning issued after two people die in West London after taking mystery substance

A warning has been issued after two people died over the weekend after taking a mystery substance. Ealing Council issued the warning about “blue pills that may be circulating” in the Southall area of the borough.

Sadly, over the Bank Holiday weekend, two people who took the unidentified pill have died. They were together and in Southall.

The authority added: “Please remember, there is no way of knowing what is in any pill or drug that is bought illegally, or how your body will react. If you, or anyone you are with, starts to feel unwell after taking any pill or drug, go to your nearest Accident and Emergency department or call 999. Always seek medical attention and do not try to sleep it off or drink lots of water.”

The NHS has listed symptoms of stimulant overdoses as anxiety and paranoia, restlessness or agitation, hallucinations and high temperature.

Chest pain, rapid breathing and irregular or fast heartbeat were also included.
