A motorcyclist from West London has died in a crash with a lorry trailer on the A4. The 47-year-old man came off his red Triumph bike on the Colnbrook bypass, near Heathrow Airport, just before midday yesterday (Sunday, August 31).

Paramedics treated the man from Ruislip, in Hillingdon, at the scene but he was later declared dead at the roadside. He is yet to be named but his next-of-kin are being supported by Thames Valley Police.

No one has been arrested in connection as of yet, the force added. Investigators are now appealing for witnesses to come forward with information and dash-cam footage.

PC Mark Dunne from the Roads Policing Unit said: “Firstly, I want to offer my deepest condolences to the family of the man who sadly died in this collision. I am appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time to please check their dash-cam footage, in case they captured the collision or the moments leading up to the collision.”

A second man was killed in West London days earlier when he crashed on the North Circular Road near Wembley. Police believe his motorbike was the only vehicle involved.

Anyone with information is urged to contact 101, quoting reference number 43250445296. Anonymous reports can also be made to Crimestoppers via 0800 555 111 or the charity’s website.
