Molly-Mae Hague’s fans went wild for her £300 tortoiseshell aviator sunglasses from Gucci, but we’ve found an alternative for the now sold-out pair – and they’re £10 on Amazon

If there’s one thing we can count on, it’s that when Molly-Mae Hague shares something, it’s almost always guaranteed to sell out quickly. That was most definitely the case when the former Love Island star shared a link to her tortoiseshell aviator sunglasses from Gucci, which have since gone out of stock on the Gucci website.

Although we managed to find another pair that is still available – and on sale – for £210 here, we’ve also done one better, and managed to find a much more affordable alternative thanks to Amazon. The Retro Double Bridge Rectangle Sunglasses, £9.99 here, have a very similar shape and style to Molly-Mae’s luxury pair, making them a great option if you want to get her retro 70s-inspired glasses on a tight budget.

Just like Molly-Mae’s Gucci glasses, the Amazon version has a tortoiseshell frame which is made from a lightweight plastic, although the bargain ones have a slightly darker brown hue compared to the designer pair. They also have a deeper brown lens, as opposed to the light green colour of the Gucci ones, however you can pick them up in several other colour combinations, including black, brown, grey and clear, with each pair costing between £7.99 and £9.99.

If you opt for a yellow lensed pair from Amazon, they not only look chic but can also help you seem more clearly in darker environments and soften blinding light, making them great for driving. The Amazon glasses also stick to the retro-inspired design that made Molly-Mae’s such a hit with her followers, with oversized aviator frames and a double bridge design across the nose. Aside from looking the part, the bargain glasses are practical too, with the lenses offering UV 400 protection which helps keep the harmful UVA and UVB rays at bay.

If the Amazon glasses are a little too dark for you, or you want to splurge a little more without splashing out on high end designer pieces, Quay’s High Profile aviator sunglasses, £98 here, are a great mid-range option. They have fully polarised lenses with a gradient which makes them easier to see in, as well as the same vintage-inspired aviator design.

The double nose bridge also has adjustable nose pads so you can make sure your glasses fit you perfectly without sliding around. If you don’t want to spend quite as much, you can pick up the exact same pair with regular non-polarised lenses, which drops the price to £83 instead.

With aviators one of the most timeless and instantly cool designs around, we’re not surprised to see them having another fashion resurgence this summer – so make sure you grab a pair in time for the next sunny day!
