Outnumbered is one of the much loved British sitcoms of the last 20 years, with fans and particularly parents relating to the chaotic Brockman family as they struggled through daily life.

Pete and Sue Brockman, played by Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner, are parents to a middle-class family living in Chiswick who are ‘outnumbered’ by their children. The three unruly, and very funny, kids were hyperactive Ben, played by Daniel Roche, and his siblings Karen and Jake, played by Ramona Marquez and Tyger Drew-Honey.

The BBC show ran for five seasons from 2007 to 2014, with the last reunion for a Christmas Special back in 2016. Being a writer, comedian, actor, impressionist and voice-over artist, Hugh Dennis is a man of many talents. Before joining Outnumbered he appeared in various TV shows including Doctors, Mock of the Week , and Me, You and Him which he also co-created.

Hugh hasn’t changed much since Outnumbered ended and has still continued to act and feature on many TV shows including Richard Osman’s House of Games and he played Robert Hargreaves in movie Nativity Rocks! in 2018. Oh, and if you didn’t already know, Hugh and Claire Skinner are now a couple in real life. But let’s see what the Outnumbered kids are up to now.

Tyger Drew-Honey – Jake

Tyger Drew-Honey played Jake – the sarcastic teenager who cringes around his family and has a strong interest in girls which worries his mum. He was a pre-teen when he became a regular on Outnumbered but has sustained an acting career since the last episode aired in 2016.

Now 28, Tyger has appeared in various TV roles including a stint on E4’s Celebs Go Dating. He most recently portrayed Alistair Ryle in the stage production Posh – which toured the UK between September and October 2021.

Away from Outnumbered, Tyger is famed for playing Dylan Thompson in the series Cuckoo between 2012 and 2019. In 2021, he starred as Malcy Smith for one episode of Grantchester The same year he also portrayed Jon Craven in the film Me, Myself and Di.

He has also starred in Citizen Khan, Death in Paradise, Horrid Henry: The Movie, and Doctors. Tyger also works as a voiceover artist.

Daniel Roche – Ben

A pathological liar, and a genuine pain in the backside, the sweet looking Ben was played by Daniel Roche who was just five-years-old when he landed his role in Outnumbered. He was known in the show for his constant theorising, questioning and wild stories, never giving his parents an ounce of rest.

Daniel also played the title role in a BBC adaptation of Just William (2010), which won a children’s BAFTA for best drama and appeared in the Sky1 comedy series Little Crackers, as a young Stephen Fry on December 20, 2010.

The TV star is now 24, and has still got the iconic floppy hair in some photos that fans associate with Ben, but other than that he looks completely different. He even sports a tattoo on his chest in some pictures shared on Instagram.

Going by Danny Roche on the social media site, the star lives in London and attended uni at King’s College London. He’s a keen rugby player and reportedly competing semi-professionally.

Ramona Marquez – Karen

Karen was the inquisitive youngest sibling of the Outnumbered children who loved telling tales. Actress Ramona Marquez played the character for seven years until she was 13.

The actress is now 23 and rocks straightened brunette locks and a choppy fringe. She has also evolved into an edgy style, showing off dramatic flick eyeliner and a series of silver chain jewellery and tattoos.

Away from Outnumbered, Ramona is no stranger to the big screen having played Princess Margaret in The King’s Speech (2010), and voiced the character of Gwen in Arthur Christmas.

She also starred in The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and A Louder Silence, along with the television series Secrets and Words. Most recently, Ramona portrayed Carla in Wish You Were Gone (2021) and Charlotte in 7 Hours on Earth.
