Clarkson’s Farm star Harriet Cowan has already been setting her own niche trend this summer with her ‘farmercore’ tweed cap proving a must-have with fans
When the new series of Clarkson’s Farm landed on Amazon Prime last week, one thing we weren’t expecting to get from it was a new fashion trend. However thanks to the arrival of Harriet Cowan, it seems we’re all keen to get in on the farmercore look that she’s been wearing.
Although obviously Harriet’s outfits are based around practicality, not fashion, there’s no denying she’s managed to create a whole new look that everyone’s dying to copy. Following on from the countrycore trend Claudia Winkleman kick started in January thanks to her The Traitors wardrobe, farmercore is the new way to embrace the outdoorsy aesthetic, even if you’re a born and bred city dweller.

One item that fans are already dying to snap up from Harriet’s wardrobe is her PJ Powell Tweed Baseball Cap, which she wore in an Instagram post from way back in 2023. Commenting underneath the snap, one fan asked: “Hi Harriet loved you on Clarkson farm. Would you kindly share where your cap is from please?” whilst another replied: “I was just about to ask this too!”
Thankfully Harriet’s chic tweed cap is still easy enough to get your hands on, and is available from £32.95 on Amazon. It’s made from a green tweed fabric with a brown suede peak, with the tweed being made from 80% wool which is breathable and durable.
If you’d rather avoid the tweed look, Schoffel’s Thurlestone Unisex Cap is £30 and is made from 100% cotton twill with a similar contrasting peak. For something that’s slightly more street style than country chic, the Fiona Wool Blend Flannel Baseball Cap in Taupe from Reiss is £58 and has a brushed wool finish with gold accents.
Harriet’s PJ Powell Tweed Baseball Cap is one size fits all, but has an adjustable strap at the back. Amazon shoppers have also been singing its praises, with one saying: “Had previous cheaper versions – this one is built to last. Never off the head!”
Another agreed: “Fits perfect, quality tweed finish,” whilst a third chimed in: “This was a present and was great quality and unique design. Very happy with it.”
In fact the only negative reviews were based around the packaging, with one saying: “nice hat but the brim was slightly bent,” whilst another noted: “The item came squashed and was not packaged adequately for price.”
