A woman has been arrested after a video appearing to show a prison officer having sex with an inmate at HMP Wandsworth emerged. The footage, which MyLondon won’t be sharing for legal reasons, begins with what looks like an officer performing a sex act on a man while a cellmate films the incident.
The officer then appears to stand up and kisses the man on the lips, while a smoking cellmate boasts, ‘this is a movie, gangsters wallahi’. The pair are then seen having sex.
Throughout, messages can be heard coming through via a prison-issued radio. The camera then switches to selfie mode as the smoking cellmate looks on.

The guard then tells the first inmate to ‘sit the f*** down’. The clip ends with the man filming grinning and saying ‘this how we live in Wandsworth [prison] bruv. Yeah.’
A Met Police spokesperson said on Friday: “We have been made aware of a video allegedly filmed inside HMP Wandsworth. A police investigation is under way.”
A Prison Service spokesperson said yesterday (Friday, June 28): “Staff corruption is not tolerated and the former prison officer allegedly featured in this video has been reported to the police. It would be inappropriate to comment further while they investigate.”

Now, a Met Police spokesperson has told The Independent: “A police investigation was launched on June 28 after officers were made aware of a video allegedly filmed inside HMP Wandsworth. A woman was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office on 28 June.
She has been taken into police custody. Enquiries continue. We remain in close contact with the Ministry of Justice.”
