Police are appealing for information after a woman was dragged off a train and assaulted by a phone snatcher in Waltham Cross last month. She was aboard a Greater Anglia service from Stratford station on Saturday, April 19 when a man tried to steal her mobile at around 10.50pm.
She refused to hand it over and was pulled onto the platform at Waltham Cross rail station before being punched to the ground. A CCTV image released by the British Transport Police (BTP) shows a young Black man they want to speak to in connection.
Officers believe he may have information that could help with the robbery investigation. He is wearing a black balaclava, black Nike hoodie and black puffer jacket.
He also appears to have brown eyes and black or brown hair. Anyone who recognises him is urged to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 867 of 19 April.
Anonymous reports can also be made to Crimestoppers via 0800 555 111.
