A woman was left in stitches after becoming “tied to” a “random couple” while in a crowded bar in Birmingham. The woman, known as Beffy, found herself unexpectedly tethered to the strangers when one of them accidentally threaded their arm through her shoulder bag.
The pair – a man and another woman – then began passionately kissing, leaving Beffy forced to witness their PDA and unable to escape. The cringeworthy encounter occurred at Barbara’s Bier Haus, a Bavarian-themed bar on Birmingham’s Broad Street, which seeks to recreate the “very best bits of an apreÌ€s ski bar”. Beffy appreciated the humorous aspect of the predicament, which was filmed.
In the clip, she can be seen placing her hand over her mouth while laughing.
The couple, positioned to her left, carry on kissing, completely unaware that their embrace has connected them to Beffy via her Gucci Ophidia shoulder bag.
The man seems to have mistakenly slipped his arm through the strap before pulling his partner into a passionate clinch, leaving Beffy uncomfortably close to the duo.
Beffy shared the footage on TikTok where she included light-hearted text to explain the circumstances.
She wrote: “I hate when parents say ‘been there, done that’ but they haven’t had random people attached to their bag whilst they are making out”.
In the caption, Beffy added: “Sorry but this will forever be funny”.
In a subsequent comment, she confirmed she didn’t recognise the people who were kissing and they were a “random couple”. The video has already amassed over 2.9 million views on the popular social media platform, with more than 275K likes.
