Sharon Vickery, 55, from Romford, has spent thousands on facials, skin care and facials over the years but nothing has given her the same results as her recently treatment.
A mum who claims to have achieved the same age-defying radiance as Kris Jenner without resorting to surgery has become an internet sensation – after unveiling the £4,250 laser treatment that she says took two decades off her looks. However, one mum insists she’s replicated the exact same result without succumbing to surgical intervention. Sharon Vickery was taken aback when she spotted deep-set wrinkles in her 40s that rapidly intensified. The mother-of-three attempted everything to combat them, including Botox, fillers, skin boosters and microneedling – but to no avail.
In a final bid, she chanced upon a unique type of laser treatment that pledged to revamp her skin in just one session.
Despite feeling sceptical – particularly given the hefty £4,000 price tag – Sharon, driven by desperation for a solution, decided to give it a whirl.
“Why opt for a facelift when you can achieve identical results with this?” the 55-year-old, originally from Romford, shared with What’s The Jam.
“I firmly believe individuals should be free to do whatever they wish at any age if it boosts their happiness and confidence.
“Definitely consider this before resorting to a facelift – my doctor echoed the same sentiment.
“Kris Jenner can afford the creÌ€me de la creÌ€me of plastic surgeons and most of us simply aren’t in a position to do so.”
Sharon chose to give it a go after growing discontented with her ageing appearance.
“I’ve despised the skin on my face for many years,” she said. “I had many lines on my forehead, upper lip, smile lines, age spots and wrinkled skin all over.
“I always compared myself to other people my age who hadn’t aged at the same rate as me. Over the years I’ve tried every treatment you can think of – Botox, fillers, PRP, threads, microneedling, skin boosters, RF machines.
‘Anything that promised results, I tried – but nothing ever lasted. I never posted close-up photos of my face to avoid the lines showing My confidence was very low and I became obsessed with how bad my face looked.
In total, Sharon reckons she’s splashed out thousands on treatments. While conducting her own research, she stumbled upon a clinic in London offering CO2 ablative laser treatment. This procedure strips away the top layer of damaged, wrinkled skin to encourage fresh skin growth.
Sharon forked out £4,250 to proceed with the treatment on April 12, and while the past month’s recovery has been tough, the mum is astounded by the results.
Sharon, who works as an operations manager for a cleaning services company, shared: “I never really wanted to go down the facelift route. I knew people who had achieved great results but some not so good, so I didn’t want to go under the knife.
“I had many consultations and after a few, one person suggested CO2 fractional laser. When I looked into it, I thought the downtime and recovery was too long and a bit scary. But I continued to research because I was totally unhappy with the wrinkled skin.
“This is when I stumbled upon fully CO2 ablative laser, which promised you only needed one treatment. By this time, I was nearing 55 so I decided to go for it.”
She added: “At the end of the day, my skin was making me miserable, so I felt compelled to take the leap.”
Sharon said the procedure itself was “mainly pain-free” due to the numbing gel, however, she described the first week as “challenging”.
She added: “I began documenting my recovery daily on TikTok, which gave me something else to concentrate on. Days two to five were the most difficult with seeping skin. It was sticking to my pillow and I had trouble sleeping.
“It also stung whenever I washed. Each day and week presented different challenges with the healing – but by week four, everything had calmed down.
“Now, five weeks later, I can confidently say the treatment was definitely worth the tough recovery. “
Astonished TikTok viewers can’t get over the mum’s transformation – with one of her videos amassing an impressive 1.8 million views.
One exclaimed: “Wow! Looking fantastic, it’s taken about 20 years off you. While another added: “No way that’s the same person.” A third also agreed: “You look 20 years younger!”
Sharon has described the reaction online and in person as “amazing”, adding: “They all can’t believe the difference and it’s given me a boost.
“Most people are saying I look up to 20 years younger. I didn’t do this to look younger, but for my skin to look fresh – but obviously the looking younger comments are great.”
While some online cynics have accused her of using filters or secretly undergoing a facelift, Sharon says she simply brushes off the negativity with a chuckle.
She added: “There definitely has been some non-believers on TikTok saying I have had a facelift or I have filters on. But for the most part, everyone has been really supportive and really happy for me which is lovely.
“I get lots of questions and lots of interest in the procedure because of the amazing results.
“A lot of people have told me to grow old gracefully, but I would rather grow old disgracefully.”
She added: “I also get a lot of comments telling me to sort my teeth out, or asking why I didn’t get my neck and chest done, too. Some people just have no tact.”
Now, she’s urging others to consider the treatment as well.”
Sharon says she feels “super happy” with her results and now doesn’t have to “worry about wrinkles in pictures anymore.”
She concluded: “It’s definitely improved my confidence. Ihave no regrets and wish I did it sooner.”
