A woman has claimed the viral ‘eyebrow blindness’ trend is real as she showed off how she used to style her own set of brows – and people claim they don’t even look real

Many of us have styled our eyebrows in regrettable ways, from over-plucking, to drawing them on three shades darker and a few centimetres thicker.

People are now claiming to have suffered from ‘eyebrow blindness’. In a trend on social media, people compare their current brows to how they used to do them – and some of the past pictures have left people in stitches.

‘Eyebrow blindness’ is the idea that you can’t see how your brows actually look on your face as you are ‘blinded’ by a certain trend or aesthetic. One woman called Kenzie knows this all too well, taking to TikTok to show off her unfortunate past mistake.

In a video that gained 265k likes, she said: “Eyebrow blindness is a real thing but I genuinely didn’t know why people were telling me they looked bad”.

In the caption of her video, she also made it clear that she wasn’t interested in people commenting on her eyebrows now. “If you don’t like them, keep scrolling”, she urged.

Her old eyebrows were very dark compared to her current ones and had an almost cartoonish look. It looked as though she’d heavily drawn them on from scratch, rather than working with the natural brows she had.

In the comments, some people were “impressed” with how she’d managed to do her eyebrows like that. One wrote: “I’m honestly impressed because they look like they were done by AI, I don’t know how else to explain it.”

Another penned: “In some pictures, I think it actually looks kinda cute. It reminds me of cute cartoon brows that I always got jealous over”, with someone else agreeing: “They kinda looked like anime character brows or something, it’s kinda cute.”

Others ignored the fact the woman didn’t want any comments on her eyebrows, saying: “You’re still going through it currently: soften the lines/corners! Because the colour is perfect.”
